About Me

Hi, I'm Megan!

I am a classically-trained violinist with over 21 years of playing experience. I began playing violin in 4th grade with my school Strings program, and I have been in love with music ever since!

Credentials:

Bachelor of Music in Music Education (K-12) -- Furman University (2014)
Master of Music in Music Education -- Anderson University (2021)

Teaching Experience:

2014-2016 -- 5th Grade Strings & High School Piano -- Anderson School District 5
2016-2021 -- 6th-8th Grade Strings & General Music -- Glenview & McCants Middle Schools
2021-present -- K-8 Strings -- East Link Academy

I am also a freelance violin performer! I have performed at numerous church and community events, as well as for weddings and holiday performances. I played with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra in the 1st violin section during the years I lived and worked in Anderson, SC.

In addition to being a school orchestra and private studio teacher, I am a wife and mom!

My husband, Jonathan, and I have been married since July 2018, and we welcomed our daughter, Harper, in May 2021.
